Foundation Stage

Welcome to the Foundation Stage at Dubai British School Jumeira, where we proudly uphold the Dubai British School mission of “Enjoy, Aspire, Achieve,” a guiding principle woven into the fabric of our Early Years curriculum.

Within the Foundation Stage, we place a strong emphasis on the seven key areas of learning and development outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework. These areas form the building blocks of a child’s initial learning journey, nurturing their holistic development across various domains. From communication and language to physical development, personal, social, and emotional development, each area is carefully designed to support children’s progress, equipping them for future learning journeys. Through engaging purposeful play and hands-on exploration, we provide opportunities for children to develop essential skills, knowledge, and understanding in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Rising 3S

Welcome to the Rising 3s at Dubai British School Jumeira, a crucial part of our purpose-built Early Years environment that also includes Foundation Stage 1 and Foundation Stage 2. In the Rising 3s programme, we provide an immersive environment where young learners can safely take risks and explore. Our Early Years curriculum strives to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. At Dubai British School Jumeira, every child is encouraged to enjoy the journey of discovery, aspire to greatness, and achieve success.

Foundation Stage

At the heart of our provision are the characteristics of effective learning: playing and exploring, active learning, and creating and thinking critically. Through these, children are encouraged to investigate, experience, and ‘have a go,’ fostering curiosity and a love for learning. Our focus on learning through play enables critical enquiry, purposeful exploration, collaboration, and independence, ensuring the development of well-rounded and inquisitive learners. Our dedicated and experienced teaching team carefully craft purposeful environments tailored to the interests of the children, providing opportunities for them to engage, discover, and grow. By nurturing happy, confident, and curious learners, we aim to instil resilience, enabling children to explore their world independently, safely, and compassionately.
